Don’t you just love rediscovering goodies that you bought, like, forever ago?!
Yup. Me too.
And since spring cleaning is in full force over here, I’ve found a couple of these sweet gems hiding out amongst the junk that seems to spontaneously multiply in my home.
One of which is an awesome pillow cover I bought back in 2008 at a little shop called Mu’umu’u Heaven on Oahu. I loved this shop because they repurposed old silk Hawaiian shirts and made them into pillows!
Genius, you might say. What a fun way to pump some personality into a space, right?
Kind of kitschy, and kind of awesome.
If you get a chance, check out their Facebook page here. They have fun and original clothing and home accessories. On-line shopping on their site isn’t the best, but hopefully someday….
I just continue to drool over some of their fun housewares and think, “…the next time I’m in Hawaii…”
In the mean time, I’m loving my little piece of paradise that I’ve found…again. What makes my pillow cover such a great rediscovery, is its fun and bright pattern that I’m falling in love with all over again. Plus, it seems just about perfect for spring.
Who knew this would come into play six years later?
Maybe I’m the genius.
One side even keeps the original shirt pocket and buttons.
Kind of looks like a fat man busting out of his shirt. Love it!
Can’t wait to put it somewhere fabulous!
