Nursery… Coming along…

I gave myself until E’s first birthday to have his nursery finished.

The deadline came and went.  Sigh. (story of my life…)

I’m going to cut myself some slack a little bit on this one, though.

Let me tell you that working on a nursery installation, whilst chasing around a very busy one year old, is a painstaking process.  Painful for me, of course.

But we’re moving forward, albeit slowly, and that’s what count’s right?

So, I’m sure you’ve grown tired of me talking about this.

But here we go again…

We all remember this, right?

Well, here’s a peek at what we’ve finished so far…

Ignore the poor picture quality, please.  (Don’t judge me.  I’m too lazy right now to ever pull out the real camera…)

Next stop is Ikea… again.

We had a little bit of a debacle the last time we went, but hopefully this time we’ll get everything squared away.  I cannot wait for it all to come together.

I’m actually hoping that this will be the one room that will actually be “finished” sometime soon!

Well, a girl can dream anyway…

    • Can you believe the lamp was on clearance at Target (oh, I love Target!). It’s all about baby steps. I can’t wait to see how your place is coming along!

  3. : As a mother of three, I too, get irritated with how much I haven’t accomplished in the decor arena. However, I have to remind myself… “What will my children remember? What their rooms looked like, or the time we spent together?” Please take this advice in the spirit it is intended. An unfinished room is a sign that your priorities are rightly elsewhere. 😀

    • I couldn’t agree more – and sometimes it’s reassuring to hear it from someone else. So, thank you! I’m always amazed at how moms find balance. Especially with three?! I’ve got my hands full with just one. Kudos to you!!
