Oh, Target…

A strange thing happened when I walked out of Target yesterday.

I only left with what I had come in for.  Seriously.  Cue the Hallelujah Chorus because that has never happened – and this may very well be the only time it ever does…

But just because I didn’t succumb to the enticings of that Nate Berkus candlestick or leftover Phillip Lim dress, doesn’t mean a girl didn’t look.  I mean, I’m only human.

So of course when I browsed through the Threshold throw pillows, the wheels of design inspiration began to turn in my head.  Especially when I came across this little gem.

Threshold Plaid Toss Pillow - $29.99

Okay, it may not be a crazy show stopper (especially when I’ve been coveting this fabulous glam goodie – but it’s totally not practical with little puppy claws around), but it sparked my interest.  I think it might be just the right look for the seasonal “pillow swap” in my TV room.  I’ve been thinking about switching things up for a little while now (my current setup is looking a little tired), and this might be the perfect touch for some fall goodness.  The color is subtle (which I love), and the plaid pattern is totally on-trend for this season.  Plus, you can’t beat the price tag!

I also saw this furry find (and you know my obsession with all things fur), which looks a lot better in person.

Threshold Faux Fur Toss pillow - $34.99

My only concern is the before mentioned puppy paws (especially because Belle seems to stake claim to any fuzzy, soft thing…), but for the price I’m willing to take the chance.  Maybe I’ll even buy a few as back ups.  Hopefully, this dynamic duo will help to bring a happy seasonal change to my lovely TV room.

  1. I was looking at the Threshold stuff online and I fell in love with the wooden foxes. I had to hold back from buying one…the brass cricket I bought on Etsy recently is enough creature stuff for awhile.

  3. I went shopping at Target yesterday because I hadn’t been there in a couple weeks. No needs, just because. When I started roaming the home goods section Brady (the 3 year old) new exactly what I was up to. To keep him happy I promised we could look at the Halloween section next. Good thing I love their Halloween stuff too.
