Coming Soon…

I know.  That’s usually the line people give when sharing the news that they’re pregnant.

Just to clarify – I’m not pregnant.

However, considering that I’ve been working on this project for almost as long as an actual pregnancy, I’m officially considering it my baby.

No really.  This project took SO much longer than it should have.

After talking and talking about it, then trying to squeeze the work -staining / painting / etc.- into any spare moment (seriously, when did life get so busy?), I am now only this close saying my faux-Campaign chests are finished!

I will finally have new nightstands, and better yet – bedside storage!!!

Here’s a sneak peek:

Do you have any projects that have taken longer than you anticipated?

I’d love to hear about them.

…and it would make me feel a little bit better about my super-extended project time.

  2. LOL, my projects usually always take longer than anticipated. This sneak peek only reminds me of the campaign style desk I wasn’t able to get on craigslist this weekend 😦
Can’t wait to see your finished project!

    • Haha! Okay. That makes me feel MUCH better. Can you believe that I think I’m going to change the color of the drawer interior, yet again! Oh well. What can you do, right?

I’m so sorry that you weren’t able to get the desk you wanted. I’ve been there, and can definitely relate to the disappointment. 😦

  3. Excited to see this project. I am a new follower of your blog thanks to this post and ‘Brave New Home’. I am also working on two campaign nightstands that are taking forever. Between the awful original condition, our entire family having the stomach flu, and my three kids, it has been never ending. I’m not sure if I am going to meet my self-imposed deadline. Good luck to you. I can’t wait to see the reveal.

    • I’m so glad you’re following along! I can completely relate with “life” prolonging all of the projects that I want to get done – plus, the flu is never fun 😦 . Sounds like you definitely have your plate full. I’m excited for the big reveal, too. Good luck on your project, as well. Fingers crossed we’ll both be able to make our deadlines!
