Tips & Tricks Thursday – Ribbon Trees

Today’s tip and trick is brought to you by Jessa at Sparkle Pants Girl.

I saw these cute layered ribbon trees on Pinterest (of course), and started checking out some of the other cute DIY projects she’s come up with.  It’s definitely worth taking a look!

I love the idea of using these ribbon trees as an alternative to traditional holiday decor.  The gray ribbon that Jessa uses is perfect for more contemporary interiors, but you could have a lot of fun playing with color, too!  Plus, the simple but interesting silhouette would add great texture to a fireplace mantel or a table centerpiece.  I also love how she’s used a variety of candle holders and containers to stagger the height and bring in some additional finishes.

I hope you enjoy, and let me know if you try these out.

I’m thinking that I might make a few in a silk navy blue or emerald green ribbon.

I’ll keep you posted!
