Spring’s New Hue
I know it’s not even winter yet, but here in Texas the weather’s been so beautiful that I can’t help but think about Spring (Okay, okay. It’s actually dropped into the 50’s, but still…).
And it seems like I’m not the only with Spring on the brain…
PANTONE, the leader in color standard, has just released their fashion forecast for Spring 2013!
We continue to see some carry over from Spring ’12 with a palette full of soft pastels like Dusk Blue and Grayed Jade. Winter’s jewel tones are also getting amped up for the spring – think Poppy Red instead of Oxblood or Lemon Zest instead of Gold. And the new neutrals like Tender Shoots and Nectarine will be a refreshing change from the moodiness of the Fall/Winter 2012 trends.
One of my favorite color trends for next spring is what I think should be the color of the season (and, in my humble opinion, a color that never goes out of style). It’s Monaco Blue! It’s a great hue that can look sleek and sophisticated or hip and bohemian – either way, it’s always super-chic!
I know we still have a few months to go, but it’s never too soon to get a jump start on next season’s upcoming trends, right? Besides, they’ll be a fresh update once winter is over and those warmer temps start to set in…
