Think Pink!

Admittedly, I’ve never been a HUGE fan of pink.  But the other day I saw the studioten25‘s Instagram photo of Kelly Wearstler‘s ombre rug.

Now I’m beginning to change my mind.

Pink can be a tricky color to use in design.

Often reserved for nurseries, princess bedrooms, and Barbie – pink has been a favorite color of little girls everywhere (not to mention tweens, teens, and beyond).   But, I’ve never been one who believed in limiting the possibilities of color.

I love the way this feminine shade is evolving into a fresh and chic accent.  Whether soft or bright, bold or muted, pink is carving out a new identity as an up-and-coming “it” color.  We’re seeing fresh pairings with natural tones, soft olive greens, grays, and even the color of the moment, Oxblood!

Here are some of my favorite pink accents:

Deborah Lloyd

What do you think?

Would you be brave enough to incorporate pink in your interior?

  1. If my husband would let me, I would love to add some pink!

  2. I would get a hot pink sofa in a heartbeat. I’m not a huge pink person, but there’s something about a pop of hot pink that I really like. All my pink has been relegated to my bathroom where the hubby doesn’t have to go. 😦
