I hope you all had a wonderful weekend.
It’s a Monday. You know those Mondays. The ones where you wake up already running five minutes behind. That’s been my Monday (explaining my late-in-the-day post!).
Fortunately, this weekend was a little bit more productive. I was able to check off two things from the list.
You know “The List”.
I think everyone has one.
You know, the list of tasks that need to get done, changed out, or refurbished around the house / office / garage / etc. Although my list has the tendency to grow at exponential rates. It seems that for every item I tackle, two more items take its place (sigh…).
But, like I said, I was able to tackle two of the items that have been at the top of the list for quite some time now.
First off, my bedroom closet… This one has been looming for quite some time, and seems to pop back onto the list every six months or so.
I know it may not look like much of a difference, but trust me, the amount of stuff I cleared out is laughable (in a “I can’t believe I had THAT much stuff shoved in here” kind of way)!
The second thing checked off my list was some updating that I had been wanting to do to a small storage piece in our hallway. It was something we picked up when R and I were first married, and it pretty much houses books and junk that we’re not willing to get rid of just yet. It wasn’t expensive, so I wanted to have some fun with changing it. I opted for a chevron patterned fabric to cover the inset glass doors and new knobs.
What do you think?
I still can’t decide if I’m completely satisfied with the fabric. I feel that I’m moving on from my love of all things chevron to a crush on Greek key patterns.
Maybe I’ll just scrap that whole idea of fabric and paint the entire unit a bright color.
I’ll just add it to “The List”
