From the Runway to Your Room: Black and Gold

One of my favorite fashion trends this fall is the combination of black and gold.  It’s bold… it’s lavish… it’s just a bit opulent…

Maybe its my subconscious need for attention, or even the thought in the back of my mind that I come from a long line of lost royal lineage…

Whatever the reason, I love the rich contrast that it offers.  This trend is one that translates easily to interior design.  It can be an overall statement in the form of bright metals and luxe textures, or a simpler approach using accent pieces to add impact.  Either way, there’s no shortage of drama here.

After all, being a drama queen counts as being slightly royal, right?
