Seasons Change

Fall brings the promise of richer colors, supple textures, and cooler weather… except for residents of Texas. Then the “cooler weather” is a crap-shoot.

Oh well.

At least I can enjoy the “idea” of fall… exchanging the bright colors of summer for rich jewel tones, swapping out lightweight fabrics for textured plaids and knits, curling up on the sofa with a good book , feeling the chill in the air….

….or the 90 degree “cold front” that’s just rolled in.  A girl can dream.

Here are some of my favorite trends for fall 2012:

“Jewel Tones”

Summer’s bright hues make a moody transition

EJ Interiors

Graciela Rutkowski Interiors

“Rich Textures”

Liz Caan Interiors

Annie Brahler

The hottest color of the season…

Angie Hranowski

Burnham Design

“Bold, Graphic Wallpaper”

Time to make an impact

Decor Demon

“Faux Bois”

A real illusion

Benjamin Dhong

Jenny Wolf Interiors

And here are some ways to add the feeling of fall into your home…
