I had been staying away.

On purpose.

But the universe had other plans, and I was forced (that’s a pretty strong word), er, it was really convenient to run into Target the other day and pick up a few things (…okay, I pretty much needed something to alleviate this ridiculous heartburn that’s been plaguing me for the last year!  Why does the body’s warranty run out in your 30′s?).

Of course I had to take a few minutes to look around the home wares and accessories.  Hey, I’m not above paying a fair price for something that looks great – even if it is at a mass retail outlet.  Good design for all, I say!

Okay, I’m getting off topic here (which is kind of becoming a trend for me, no?)

Browsing around Target, I found that they’ve stocked their shelves for the spring season, and had some really cute pieces (Hello, Threshold Parrot Lamps!).  They’ve even ventured into previously uncharted waters with a cool (and very on trend), cobalt blue mid-century inspired side table.  I usually don’t buy furniture pieces from Target (does anyone else feel like they are unusually scaled down – kind of like they’re made for an elf?), but this table gave me pause.  It’s pretty cute, and I’m a genuine sucker for mid-century style pieces.  Hmmmm… how could I incorporate it….

I was a little disappointed that I didn’t see much in the way of emerald green, but we’ll see what pops up for the summer season.  I think Target will jump right on that trend!

So, If you need something to do this weekend, or just need to pick up some emergency Tums (heartburn sucks…) – the universe may be telling you it’s time to add a little pick-me-up to your interior.
