I know I had promised some great accessorizing tips today but…

I was looking around Pinterest last night (okay, really, sucked in would be a more accurate description), and came across a few simple DIY projects that I just had to share.  

Some of these were SO ingenious (you know, the smack-palm-to-forhead kind where you say, “Oh my gosh, why didn’t I think of that?” – which I actually did once), that I’ve resolved to try them all.  But I couldn’t wait until they were finished to share the ideas – taking into consideration my track record for getting DIY projects done lately… (sigh)

1.  Home Made Book Ends

Officially moved to the top of “The List”!  I can’t tell you how much I LOVE this idea (this was the forehead-smacking one, by the way…) What a great (and super simple) way to customize an object for your home.  Now, I wonder if I could find some Boston Terriers to paint emerald…

2. Faux Nail Head Trimmed Cork Board

Seriously.  How great is this idea?!  I was inspired by this and bought some cork squares to cover ($7 for 4 squares at Target).  Now, I’m on the hunt for just the right fabric.
